AOW skill -versus CCTF skill

I've heard arguments from both sides of the fence about this topic: one says that AOW players are generally more skilled at Renegade and another says that CTF players are more generally skilled at Renegade.

So which gamestyle requires more skill? AOW or Crazy CTF?

You really can't argue that overall CCTF requires more skill than AOW.

Thats why i am specifying. AOW requires more types of skill: Undeniable.
CCTF Antinfantry tactics > AOW antiinfantry techniques : undeniable too tbh.

The lag/warp in the Crazy CTF server is significantly better nowadays.

But saying sniping in a sniper server is better than sniping in an AOW server is a bit redundant. That's like saying a pro-only server has better players. It's a generalization that is usually true, but not necessarily always true.

I can put together a list of about 5 people who play mostly AOW (ie. they don't play much CTF) who would beat your 5 best CTF players. If you don't believe me, take the challenge. Don't assume that just because someone is really good at AOW they're not good at sniping. This topic isn't about the specific skills of the players its about comparing the generic skill levels of the better AOW players with the generic skill levels of the better CTF players. AOW wins hands down (in both AOW and Sniper). And therefore AOW requires more skill, imho.

That's not to say CTF doesn't require any skill, either. It does. But it's certainly must less than in AOW.

AOW take LOT more skill than cctf cuz cctf is really nothing u got supped up units that are really gay and kill units fast but in AOW u need skill to really fight lol cuz u dont got supped up units like the flyin sbh that is really gay

Who actually made you make this kind of thread? Because its a bit retarded saying CCTF takes even half the amount of skill AOW takes, If it was Ectasy he was probably joking, because he used to think CCTF was the sh*t, then i told him what it takes.

LOL, well to the guy who started the heated discussion i would like to point out, CCTF is a mod, and if we was to have a CLASH of the CCTF crew, and the AOW team. Its 100% gona be the AOW team witch wins, because we would be playing renegade, Witch is INFACT AOW!

Not CCTF because then we wouldent be playing ren, well we would but with a different mod.

Uhm..why are we even arguing over this?

CCTF just seems like a "Relaxation" kind of game style - One to play with a few people you know and not work too hard on, just to chill and have a bit of fun.

AOW can be the same way, too, but it takes more realization to what you're gonna do, and what your opponent is doing, it's what Multiplayer Ren was designed to be, not the samey kind of DM that you could get from Battlefield, or something ;\

As for the rec thing, there is no reason for it to change because some CTF n00b who camps with a server-side modified gun shouldn't get more recs than someone who accomplishes something in an AOW game. Again, I know you guys like CTF and all ... but its NOT anywhere close to being a game of skill.
