scritps 3.4.4 help

Hey so I downloaded TSU's version of 3.4.4, but when i tried to start renegade this popped up:



what the hell is directx lol.

You need the at least DirectX 9. The latest is DirectX 10, and you can download it [ here ]. Renegade was made with DirectX 8, and the new scripts makes it run DirectX9.

The *official* scripts.dll 3.4.4 installer includes the official Microsoft DirectX redistributable to ensure your version of DirectX is compatible with 3.4.4.

I know Sean does not trust exe installers for simple file copies, but it really is the easiest way to install 3.4.4 and I know for a fact it has no malicious code in it. If you REALLY don't trust it, run Process Monitor from Sysinternals and monitor exactly what it does. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysi ... 96645.aspx
