Tiberian Technologies - A fresh breath for Renegade!

For those who haven't heard, BHS has snowballed a few more people into an "alliance" of sorts known as Tiberian Technologies which aims to address some of the most critical issues Renegade faces these days.

Some of the more noteable benefits are:

• Built in auto map downloader
• A built-in anticheat (rather than a standalone RenGuard)
• A lot of bug fixes and some new maps!

I would like to thank Crimson and Mac (wb, btw) for their efforts to keep C&C:Renegade alive. TsuGaming has always had a very strong policy against cheating and serving the interests of the community by providing quality servers (whether it be our own, or to customers through our newfound business Tsulutions, LLC). So we appreciate these improvements, and you have our full support.

Combined with our upcoming "ProjectX" (name of software suite hasn't been announced yet) ... I think this could definitely breath some life into Renegade.

Ironically, a lot of these features (ie. auto map downloading) are features that are already a part of our software and have been since about November of 2007. We've also designed our software to be very compatible with BHS/BI products. So it will be interesting to see how much cooperation we get between Tiberium Technologies and Tsulutions, LLC in coming weeks.

Yeh spoony is in on this patch... so you can tell the gameplay is just gona be suited for the way he likes playing ren..
If any 1 wants to edit spoonys bit out of it when its finished. I would use it

I was one of those 'top secret people' that knew about it.... but honestly even if i was in the TT team i dont think i would be much help as C++ and the renegade engine isnt my specialty

Its not going to be replaceing NR/BR, ProjectX is replaceing them, not this patch.

Completely different products lol, and personally I think having auto-map downloader built into ren via this patch wl be a much better implementation of it than ProjectX would have done it

It's about fixing a bug which reverts the points system back to the way it originally was, as designed by Westwood. Incidentally making the game fairer, actually making sense for once, and more strategic.

It is of course true that I like it that way too. I guess I'm just a softie when it comes to fair games instead of unfair ones, sensible points systems instead of ridiculous ones, etc.

I'm glad to see you guys are excited at the news.

Spoony i dont HATE your pointsfix man i like it for pubs, just not clanwars thats all =/

I don't know why, it doesn't change the way clanwars are played, it just means the right team wins far more often.
