TsuLimpy - a really really bad moderator

Basically he was on a losing team and was pissed off.
I had an apc and our team had just said there was a stank, so I was looking for it by shooting.
I found him and started shooting him
Then he banned me saying I had some sort of radar hack.
The guy simply is not fit to be a moderator.
I see other people complaining about him.
Please sort him out or he will ban anyone good on the opposing team, which will soon render your server useless for Ren.

It was walls flying probably around 2am (UK time). I was on GDI (jez636363), TsuLimpy on NOD.

I think it was earlier in that game that someone else was banned for buying a transport chopper - a 1 week ban for some noob who didn't know any better - and the ban comment was something about 'not needing that sort around here'. I can't remember who did that ban, but I think it was at the start of the same game.

TsuLimpy, you may run the community, but that still doesn't mean you can just abuse mod powers.

I've been playing this game for 6+ years now and I have never ever cheated, and there a bazillion folks who can vouch for me. You didn't even bother to ask a question, just boom 1-week ban.

There was no justification whatsoever for a ban - just a pissed off mod on a losing team.

I don't often bother with forums, but I had to let the rest of the community know about this, because it was so blatantly bad.

I am sure that for every person who does post on the forum about an unfair ban there are ten others who just say 'screw this server' and go elsewhere, which is the last thing Tsu want.

I can say for a fact that we would have had the thought in his head that a stank was around, so it would make sense for him to start shooting around. I had an orca, and was flying around base when I saw someone buy a stank, so I typed in "THEY HAVE STANK" and I went around shooting in the field, and I guess apparantly he found you.

So...He did know you guys had a stank, and if he was an apc, it would make sense to start spraying bullets looking for it.

Im not going to speak for flood but he is a very simple person to get along with and have a good time playing ren. sh*t does get out of hand sometimes but thats to be expected. I figure by his lack of posting he really doesnt wanna deal with more pointless sh*t and thats what this is. At one point in time we were given the approval to kick retards out for being stupid and I did it myself.

Lols i remember one time i was in a cw, cant remember with who but it was field and i was on gdi. I had an mrls and somehow i locked 6 to a stank randomly. No cheats i pride myself in not needing the advantage but just to point out, sh*t does happen.

Maybe he was suspicious before hand?

The reason I haven't posted in this topic is because I honestly could give a sh*t less. I'm not going to lie. But I'd also like to point you were permanently banned, not temporarily

Here's what happened and why I came to the conclusion that he was using radar (which is what I banned him for):

We were on Walls_Flying and I bought a stank figuring the air battle was getting pointless (shitload of orcas and snipers). I'm not a n00b and I'm certainly no idiot when it comes to predicting enemy movements, understanding what they're thinking, etc. So when I saw his APC rushing in on the left (nod perspective) I thought, I'll wait here on the left side of the wall (not middle, btw) until he passes then I'll move out cautiously. After he got into the left (nod perspective) tiberium field with his apc I was already off the ledge, but in the corner ... and on my way past the little infantry thingy that is in the tib field (using it as a blocker). He wasn't shooting at that point. I then stopped at that first rock (in case he did start scanning for stanks, it would hit the rock and not me) - and that is in fact what he did (starting shooting around).

I still wasn't concerned at this point. But here is where it got suspicious and why it ultimately led to a ban: He didn't see me. He wasn't close enough and I'm 110% sure a bullet never hit me (until towards the end). So I dodged his bullets using the rock as a shield. But every time I'd go one way, he'd go that way and shoot directly at me. (but still not actually hitting me) As if he knew for a fact I was there. And we did that dance for about 20 seconds straight until he finally got a bullet on me.

So if he wasn't cheating, I'd like to know how he knew for a fact that I was there. Because it was impossible visually and acoustically (ie. he wasn't within visible distance and wasn't close enough to hear sounds) ... and he came back to get me once I started moving out a little bit. Sounded exactly like radar to me. And I didn't ban him right away either. I figured Id do that dance a little bit (without rubbing up against the wall, or shooting, or getting too close - so that I knew he couldnt see me any other way but with radar) and he kept on shooting exactly where I had just been 1 second ago (barely dodging him using the rock as a shield).

There is pretty much no way to detect RGH at this point, so it comes down to common sense. When you have a new player that isn't doing well then he walks into that sort of a suspicious setting, it makes sense (to me, at least) that he is cheating. Whether it be radar or just RGH in general to see the names, he definitely had something going on which gave him an unfair advantage of seeing me. Thus the ban.

So just because you were banned for cheating doesn't mean I'm a bad mod.

Now, if you want to talk about questionable bans (rofl) lets talk about some of these other bans I've been handing out recently:

[1] Wiggles --> Being a complete *ss, and tbh I think he cheats
[2] Smokindro --> Which I'm considering unbanning since he wasn't as bad as Wiggles but this happend right after I banned Wiggles so I snowballed the two situations together
[3] You, for cheating
[4] 2 separate people, for buying transport helis --> Our server aims to get decent players. Not kids who think its funny to team hamper by buying transport helis.

And I think that was it.

But I'll be frank with you (And everyone else here): Renegade has gone down the toilet recently. Pro players being more cocky while the community gets smaller and less competitive. And the general pub. players seem to be getting worse (even though ones I thought were decent) - unless I'm just getting better. And since Renegade dies a little more every day and my Renegade Manager (Nightma12) doesn't seem to care too much about Renegade anymore (ie. doesn't actively get involved in making decisions) I rule with an iron fist. But I will admit I've been off the deep end recently and could definitely use a break.

Though I don't have to apologize to anyone, I will apologize to all I've banned considering all cases were done on short fuse and that's not a responsible action. So I'm sorry for that. But that doesn't change the facts of the case, either. And it's certainly not fair to say I'm a really bad moderator, lol. I've trained all of my moderators to be good moderators, so obviously I know what I'm doing. Even my admin (Medici) has been short fused. Renegade is just a frustrating game these days. So many cheaters and ignorant players.

With that, I give my admins full permission to handle all of these recent bans of mine however they see fit. If they think that it was unfair, they can reverse it. And I won't object. All I ask in return is that you do not disrespect me. I'm a good person with a lot on my shoulders recently.
