Run-Time Error 9 and other errors (52+53)

hi all,
Everytime NR boots it gives some error-messages to irc.
We were used to see this two messages:

ERROR: - NightRegulator v0.3.5 BETA 8i Debugger - ERROR ENCOUNTERED- DETAILS: "Run-Time error 52 has occurred! Bad file name or number", IN FILE: "NightRegulator.exe -- IRC Protocol Connection"

ERROR: - NightRegulator v0.3.5 BETA 8i Debugger - ERROR ENCOUNTERED - DETAILS: "Run-Time error 53 has occurred! File not found", IN FILE: "NightRegulator.exe -- IRC Protocol Connection"

But this one is new:

ERROR: - NightRegulator v0.3.5 BETA 8i Debugger - ERROR ENCOUNTERED - DETAILS: "Run-Time error 9 has occurred! Subscript out of range", IN FILE: "NightRegulator.exe -- RENLOG PARSEING"

So I would thank you if u could solve these problems.

I think the IRC Protocol error is due to your passiden.txt being wrong...

Copy and paste that here for us to look at - if it's wrong, I'll tell you how to fix it. You can find it in your NR Directory.

We desplaced the passiden.txt so it works now. thx
But the error 9 would be more important.
Also !maps (ingame) doesn't show the map-rotation. But this error appears longer than the others.

!maps was never made in NR. I don't know why Lee didn't do it, it's a nice addition and only NR doesn't have it (trust me, I've bugged him about it before >_<)

As for Renlog Parseing, I've seen that a lot (especially on my server), but because I'm a customer at Aohost, Lee fixes it for me. I'm pretty sure he'll look here soon and help you out.

Yeah, I know about it in IRC, but when you do a command like !maplist ingame, it says like - Incorrect Syntax, use !maps.

You use !maps and there's no such command

So we got a new problem:
So last night NR shut down and we got the error code:
Run-time error 6 overflow

I know that are very many problems, but it would be nice if you could help us.

Sorry but there is another error:
If you do the command !search_name ***** NR gives the error:

[NR] ERROR: - NightRegulator v0.3.5 BETA 8i Debugger - ERROR ENCOUNTERED - DETAILS: "Run-Time error 13 has occurred! Type mismatch", IN FILE: "NightRegulator.exe -- IPDB-RecvName"

and the hits for the command.

Sorry that i have to write again but there are new errors.
The NR restarts all the time and sometime it even leaves the Channel:

?2(GNG-Snip@n00b-FAEE37.static.rdns-uclo.net) has left IRC (Excess Flood)?

And there are many kills because it's a Snipe-Server. But it reports the kills much too late.

NightRegulator sends out a lot of data at the same time. Due to this, it will lag on an "unauthorised" IRC server. Either (this is the funny bit), n00bstories give Aohost $5 or a Server Owner of n00bstories IRC Server has to give your bot an o:line.

It's not the bot that's being "optimized" when you make the payment. It's the IRC.

IRC won't let you "spam" (channel flood) the NightRegulator output unless:

• The NR bot has been given admin-like permissions (o line)

--OR--

• The IRC server itself is modified to permitted it (ie. an "Authorized server")

You can always just host your bot on irc.tsugaming.com or irc.aohost.co.uk. They're both authorized servers and your bot won't lag.
