Yeah, keep an eye on your FPS and the SFPS Hillary. If either of those drop down significantly then its probably either your computer or the server (and not your ISP). If both seem to be stable, then its a network issue. Which, like Matix said, could either be just a bad ISP or the fact that there is something eating up your bandwidth.

To rid yourself of spyware I'd recommend either SpyBot or AdAware. Spybot is free, and I have an old (licensed/full) version of AdAware I can give you.

If you immerse your modem in water, it speeds up internal connection and does wonders for your internet!

Or hit the ON/OFF button. Let is sit for 60 seconds. Then turn it back on. He's right, sometimes a router reboot helps.

Anyway, they'll try to fix up your internet ... and in the meantime you should make sure your PC is doing its part by ridding it of any spyware/adware. (both are pretty much the same thing, but adware is more proactive about spawning popups and 'ads').

Well i tryed the reboot thing and it didnt do anything, intresting idea tho, so anyways i rang up and abused my provider then they finally sent a tech to come look at my comp and everything else, it turns out the filters they sent me were faulty so they replaced them and set up a new faster internet connection for me! Works fine now thanks for all of your help guys :)

To rid yourself of spyware I'd recommend either SpyBot or AdAware. Spybot is free, and I have an old (licensed/full) version of AdAware I can give you.

The best programs are

- NoAdware (5 is latest version I believe? I can hook you up with the license, just PM.) -- This IS THE BEST PROGRAM, SERIOUSLY.

- Ad-Aware -- It was good, but with their recent 2007 version, I feel like it's another spyware I installed.. -_- Search up SE Pro in google. - Free (free version works as well as the full, just full has more features, I can hook you up with the licensed SE pro)

- RegScrub XP - Fixes up your registry entries, this baby always did me good. - FREE

- CCLeaner - Has multiple functions I personally like, give this a try. - FREE

I'm glad it worked out just fine for you. My filters (when I had DSL..) always died within 2 months.. <.<

Cable just owns all, it truly does. Unless you have a "WORKING" Fiber Connection that "WORKS" *cough* fl00d3d *cough* that is faster then my cable connection, then sure.

pr0n never really affected my computer. Only when I had DSL was it getting f*cked over day after day, but with my switch to cable, no downtime so far :D
