For those who don't know, a "Spoiler" is basically the answer to a question that you don't want to know the answer to yet. For example, if you were going out to see a movie and someone told you what happened before you went to see it, it would be 'spoiled' (ruined). Therefore a spoiler is a way to hide the answer to something that others may not want to see the answer to as a courtesy.
Perhaps you have a quiz:
"What is the answer to 1+1?" and you want to try and figure it out before you see the answer. If 2 was posted right next to it you wouldn't get a chance to think for yourself. So the user can use a spoiler tag to hide the answer until you're ready to view it.
HOW TO USE
To use a spoiler tag simply make a post as normal, then highlight the part you want to hide (the spoiler itself) and click on 'spoiler' in the BBcode list at the top.
example:
Code: Select all
What is the answer to 1+1?
[spoiler]
2
[/spoiler]
This would end up looking like this:
What is the answer to 1+1?
Spoiler: show
