Ok, so here is a question I have been asking since I started playing both MW 2 and Black Ops.
Apparently, Steam recognizes and holds Black Ops in its Library naturally, as, you do not need to add it manually upon finishing your download/install. But, it will not allow you to use the steam server browser for Black Ops servers. So, the theory of using steam as a multiplex interface for these games becomes almost void in the sense of black ops, when I can just launch by shortcut, in order to enter the server browser. Steam for this purpose is not needed.
But I do see upon the server list, the VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) logo. So, is it that they are just using a separate network and will not allow steam to be used to browse the servers? Or is there a way to integrate this? It's somewhat annoying.
