Webmaster needed

TGN is in need of a webmaster.

Requirements are pretty simple and straight-forward:
  • Must know PHP pretty well (no beginners). Experience with phpBB3, custom MySQL queries, and other community technologies (such as irc, teamspeak, etc.) is a plus.
  • Available to check for new posts once per day (and if there are posts addressed to you - you reply to them).
The work for TsuGaming.com has been pretty easy up until recently, but we have some exciting new sites in planning for TGN and other websites that are a part of this network which will bring in a profit and eventually earn you some $. So if you know what you're doing, and willing to get things going ... post below.

Two PHP coders are preferred. But we definitely need at least one. Whichever applicant has the most experience/knowledge will obviously be preferred.

If you can't write custom code, or if you can't take 60 seconds to log into the website to check for messages, then don't apply. Serious applicants only. Trust me, it will be worth your while in the long term! ;)

In regards to Dan: he's not reliable at all. This is the second time I've had to let him go because he just straight up disappears without a trace. He logs in to the forums from time to time and is active on other websites - and chooses to ignore topics and major issues here. The first time I let him go I was more polite about it. This time I'm pretty ticked off. This is why I said I need someone reliable. I don't even know PHP and I can do 90% of the things I've asked him to do (like modifications or simply answering generic questions to keep forward progress). I think he gets a taste of a difficult project and gives up to easy. Anyway, I appreciate all of his work thus far - but now it appears to have been a complete waste. If we don't find a proper webmaster, I will be maintaining the website....and I will be using default out of the box mods and skins from here on out. No custom code (because its very low maintenance and doesn't require pro PHP skills).

We're still looking for a webmaster (or two). The position must be filled ASAP, however, if you're going to be a network-level administrator/webmaster. If I start doing the work myself, I won't be undoing it so that the new webmaster can do all of their custom stuff. That would be too risky.

I wanna try to do it, but believe me when i say, there is absolutely no experience in coding for this gamer.

I can maybe figure out a little bit beforehand, but currently I won't be back at my home computer for another 3 weeks. I'll see what I can dig up while I'm here.

I think you answered your own question. You are not qualified for this position, and therefore cannot be considered. Sorry.

By all means ... learn. But until you've got to the expert level we require, there is no point in hiring you. That's all I was saying.
