Yea it is big bucks..but you get what you pay for.the prices are in Canadian fund so it cheaper in the US.
I research the CPU very well !!! and compared it to the new INTEL's flagship i7 cpu. All performance bench mark test were equal..BUT! when benchmark testing the cpu's ability to access the ram (memory) the INTEL was up to 25% better at it,,something about intels ram architecture that AMD can equal for some reason...maybe why Pentium chips run so dam HOT, but who cares...the intell is 3 + times the price of the AMD that is already way more power then we really need at 3.4 Ghz. Cheap memory will make any computer run like shi-t !!!
Go Big or go home!

A Pair of 6990s in Crossfire (ATi)
A 6 Core AMD Processor OC'ed to 4.0 Ghz with A Noctua Air Cooler (Less Work Than Liquid Cooling)
A 1200 Watt PSU
1600mhz RAM
Like 5 Solid State Drives
And a Republic of Gamers Motherboard
