some serving suggestions

I've played on the server for about a week now and really enjoy it
here are some suggestions that i think would make it even more enjoyable for everyone.
- mutants need to drop weapons that are useable for gdi, ei the templar drops a 1 shot ramjet, default mutants need to drop something like the laser chain gun or sbh laser shotgun is pointless for gdi and only helps nod
- engineer on nods side should be something like the chem warrior (the most entertaining character in renegade)
- soldiers need a better default weapon, nothing massive, but a rifle against a flechette is not a even fight. soldiers can't even kill mutants on tib fields with it. we need a chain gun or something
- radar needs to be turned off! this is a pain in the *ss when gdi and boring as hell on nod. there's not really anywhere spots on any maps where you can hide

Thanks for the ideas. First thing is i agree that mutants need to drop some better drops. I say normal mutant drops the chain gun... Its good but its not so strong that GDI will get a huge advantage. Next, we have been messing around and the engineer slot is still open any ideas are welcome for the nod engineer character. Next, the spawn character... This has been debated multiple times and we have found that anything strong makes it unbearable for the first mutant. Nod needs the advantage on the spawn character because GDI can always buy a new character later. And of course last but not least the radar. The point of the game is to see who can survive. Not hide, we want people fighting to survive there are multiple items such as radar and a REAP timer to prevent hiding... I like your ideas and I think some of them can be but to good use. Welcome.

Thing about the Chain Gun is...
Auto rifle is actually more powerful than the Chain Gun.

I agree.
Templar should drop ramjet, and acolyte should drop volt rifle. - What should the spawn mutatn drop though? Laser rifle?

Its a free slot at the moment. It wont be the chem srpayer though!

- Perhaps i could mess around and get the viseroid working? Its just a case of which gun do we give it!

I 100% agree with you on this. Auto rifle is better than the chaingun against mutants so thats out of the question though.
In the past weve given them rockets, and laser rifles. Personally i thought rockets was best - ive always easily killed people with the weak rockets, but apparently im the only one who thoguht so lol.
We currently have the veteran system, where once you kill 10 people ALL your GDI chars get a laser rifle. Perhaps we could also do drop weapons where the normal mutants drop laser rifles?
I would be in full favour of swapping the auto rifle for the weak rockets. We would have an empty space on the GDI PT then as well! Since we would have to disable the weak rocket men.
What do you all think? Oh and... i *LOVE* it when mutants camp on the tib!

Night i totally agree with you on the rockets but see the problem is it becomes to hard for NOD... The auto rifle is good because its an OK gun, but NOD can beat it in a 1 on 1. If you want rockets or if you want to have better guns you kill nod and buy them, GDI has to play as a group until they have enough money to solo the mutants until then NOD needs to single people out that are hiding or just away from the group. That's how NOD should be converting people and that's how GDI should be making money.

I can't fight 10 mutants at a time when i spawn as a basic, I need some time to get to a PT and the radar does not help.

If you add a Laser to the Soldier, may as well drop Sydney.

See I don't think mutants should drop the laser... Its to strong... Mutants die everywhere... If you are going to go and get 10 kills or pay 300 credits for a laser its obviously not a weak weapon...

Yea - 10 kills, gives the SPAWN char the laser.
Who would be in favour of giving the spawn char the weak rockets? What should mutatns drop then? Perhaps leave infantry with the auto rifle and make them drop weak rockets?
EDIT:

Nobody will buy it then

I was thinking mayb 500 sniper or something.

Disagree I can take a mutant easy with them... Isnt that why they were taken from the spawn character?

I like the auto rifle for spawn character... But that's just the thing i don't know what to have the mutants drop that would be fair the only thing i can think is the Chain gun
