Enable Obelisk on M07?

Basically, I've suggested switching the Obelisk on on M07 to make that map a bit more interesting. Now I know you're gonna say "Z0MGSTHATWOULDMAKEIT2DIFFICULTZ4DAGDISONOSIREE!" but give me a chance to explain what my idea is.

At the start of the map, there will be 1 Mutant, as usual. GDI Soldiers will spawn, as usual, outside the Obelisk, where they are within range of the Obelisk. The Obelisk will fire at one GDI Player at a time. The GDI Players will have to get inside the Obelisk (If you've got 10 players, I guesstimate that only about 3 will die, tops, so it's fine), and destroy the MCT, which is protected by the Mutants. GDI Players will be given two Timed C4 Explosives to aid in the destruction of the Obelisk. Any GDI players killed by the Mutant will switch to Nod as usual. Nod players will be given Weak Repair Guns (Engineer Repair Guns) to repair the Obelisk, so if one person rushes in and dies, but gets a C4 on the MCT and detonates, he can repair. It'd take 5 Remote C4's to destroy the Obelisk, I reckon - as we'd be using the Multiplayer Obelisk, not the Single Player one that dies from 10 pistol shots.

If you don't destroy the Obelisk, you fail. :)

Oh, and don't worry. Kills by Obelisk won't take away any lives from GDI Players (we're nice like that).

I like the idea but it seems to be a lot to be changed... that is if it is possible at all... All the spawns for GDI would need to be moved and maybe gdi wouldn't kill the obb so then the mutants don't get a chance to kill them because the obb would first...

Lee's told me changing everything would be very easy. Plus, who said the Mutants have to stay in the Ob?

I think all gdi could spawn right under the obb so they dont die and mutants could spawn outside... but reverse the teleporter thats there so mutants can teleport in but then camping is a problem...

Making the spawn right below the Ob eliminates the point in turning it on. :S

but if the obb constantly kills people before the mutants can and it dosnt take a life they will let the obb kill them so they don't lose any lives

Maybe Lee could stick some bots on the outside to push the GDI players into the Ob, and switch them off once the MCT is dead.

Hmmmmm sounds difficult... but anyway yeah if it did 100 damage you should lose a life... and nd should be able to repair it...

i say we leave it at full power
but is it posible to make it shot like once ever 30 secs
and make it take lives
like tib posioning but from god!!!

ehhhh what if all of gdi just stays outside? dying doesnt really affect them.
