This dude (voltrega) killed me 2 times with a minigunner. both times in less than one second. so i asked him to come to strip for a test because he was already in the ref. i asked a few times in pm and in F2 chat and he ignored me+killed me.

He was blatantly disregarding whatever you said.

In the future, be sure the use !pannounce (name) Test next time, just to be completely sure...

i tried in game, what do you do to announce to everyone, like !pannounce Do not kill me or him? I just tried all and it sent it to redball =/
or is there no option like that

ALSO: If you ask someone for a test like that and they blatantly refuse (or fail), you can use !warn until they get banned as a temporary measure until you can get hold of a full mod or up.

Im not tryin to bash you nate but I was sayin ingame the other day, go into irc and type !help Get familiar with all the commands you can use. Ive been vip, half and full mod and I still go into irc to see what I can use.

Since you do use irc, make sure its up while you're ingame and if someone flat out refuses to test just warn em till ban like medici said. No one here is guna bash ya and if by some chance ya are wrong you're learning.

Ok. Got it. Again thanks. lol i have done the !help thing in irc but like a million things come up and i havent had a chance to see what all of them do yet xD i'll take the time to look at it today after school.

Those are the rules you got. If im not mistaken you cannot use !pannounce.

Ha well i looked at all of them that i didnt know. Do Basic mods have access to pannounce? ill try it out a little later. if not they definately should. and i also think that we should have access to announce so that people wont have an excuse if they hamper with a test...

I"m pretty sure nightma switched !pannounce so everyone could use it? unless it was only half mod or something.

Can we get a permission thing set up again? There was one a long time ago, and I think it would be helpful to have a reference to what command each moderator has.

I really don't have the time to be setting up a list of permissions for each mod level, just don't be lazy and use !help in IRC.

As for the !pannounce and !announce commands, I've always been wary of setting permissions too low, we have the most effective and least abusive moderation system in Renegade, and that is largely due to the hierarchy that we have. I'll talk to Spurs about allowing learning mods to use !pannounce, but I don't really want to change the permission level for !announce.

ok. and i did !help in irc but it tells me i have access to commands that i dont have access to ingame. like !kill and !pannounce...
