So i think i might have posted about this before but i cant be asked to look for it. I have two copies of ren. One wont install past 20% and the other is the first decade and has a version mismatch or something. I am running on vista so...anyone got any ideas?

Ive had 6 copies of ren at one point and none of them worked on vista. tyvm. I dont think a new copie is going to help me.

f*ck around with combatability mode a bit?
also if you hadnt already, install from an admin user or safemode. ussually f*cking around with different ways of doing it will eventually work

I'm pretty sure TFD is compatible with Vista (check the box if you still have it). So you shouldn't need compatibility mode (for Renegade).
You'll need to make some manual changes to get WOL working, though. I can't remember what I did (cuz I install everything on TFD except Renegade, then use normal Ren CD for Ren install), but I think it had something to do with the registry looking for WOL in the wrong folder or something.
I know gunner666 just had to deal with this a few days ago. I'll point this topic out to him to see what he did to fix it.

I remember when I got tfd i was looking for it to work with vista and it said it did.

I duno man. Ive had this problem with ren and vista before. For some f*cking reason tfd wants to be a raging cock sucker and not work. I dont remember the error but its a version mismatch for wol. I duno, deathsta is tryin to help me out and hopefully it works
