This guy is very interesting imo. You see why when you read the names >.> But banned for RoF, was quite obvious, and a VERY high score. I was off irc and playing WoW, then st0ne got me on ts saying some one was cheating under his name. I got on irc, and his score was way up there, cant remember, and then the guy just left, and then someone joined as $, the IPs matched, both apparently using RoF, and never said 1 word in the game.

II Note: The StoneCold shown here is NOT St0neC0ld 'the real st0ne', for they both were ingame, and the real st0ne on ts talking to me about this.
III Note: fl00d or lee.. This NightRegulator.. you mind filling me in? ;) And, !search_ip this guy, and figure out who it really is :o

same thing has been happening on ekt
someone's spoofing or picking random names like "-" "q" and using hax, getting banned, and changing his ip and coming back.
i think we banned his ip range or his cd key or something, idk i forget and im kinda out of it :/

yah hes definetly a namehacker, his friend "/" is too. they can change their name to anything, even "rrkiller" and "fl00d3d." back on whorehouse there was a guy named "BLY" that got namehacked, "aprilwar" got namehacked also, wen i say namehacked i dont mean that they broke into their account they actual change their nick to anything they want. if you look in the aow banlist lee kept banning a guy that would change his name to things like "you-can-ban-me-ha-ha" i know the specific hack on the ban evasion but idk how they change their nick its also called the nickname exploit too i believe

its not a 'hack' to change your ip/proxy, its just an ability lol

well umm, i kinda deleted you off my msn. i do to people who add me, say hi and never speak to me again
and also i dont have the range or the ip because i wasnt there i just read about it :S

yes but there is a program that is used so dummies can change it so thats why i call it a hack

well all you really need is the ip of the server and preform a direct connect. you can make your nick whatever you want honestly :/

That's all it is: RenIP. Nothing more. And it's not hard to use. You don't even need the program. You can just run a command line from Start >> Run and it will work just as well.
We can block that, but then Gamespy would be blocked as well.
I can do some manual searches through other logs I have (web, teamspeak, irc, etc.), talk to other server owners, talk to DanPaul (IPDB), etc. and try to get an idea of who this guy is. Undoubtedly he also knows how to force-change his IP ..... but even if he does that he can't change his actual ISP unless he pays for multiple ISPs. So he's still track-able.

The only real way to ban him permanently would be to enable RPB - however that would also flag people joining from GameSpy as exploiters :/

Yeah, we do. A growing number. I've noticed OZ and a few others using the server recently, and they're GSA-based.
You could implement something similar to BR's name authentication, but rather than making it so formal and foreground, you could run it in the background. I dunno.
I haven't heard much on this guy recently, but I suppose if you talk to the other server owners they'd be on the lookout for him as well.

I know who he is.
He goes by the name of "Mandai" and he uses unknowncheat's website to create and exploit around his modified objects.
He always did this to kamuix's server.. I am sure nightma can recall kamuix's sad events in which this happened.
