This is entirely theoretical mind you, not based upon any facts other than the Renegade netcode being crappy at the best of times...
^i dont really buy that. he went afk. he wouldve been there for a long time. Renegade may have shitty coding. but i dont think it takes a few minutes to register a position.
It depends, if the position and movement data only update when the player actually does something (which is the case for some other things in Renegade) then it wouldn't update even if he was there for 5 months. Again, I have not looked into this to verify if this is actually how the code works, but theoretically it IS possible.

should tweak the biatch settings so it has to come from definately outside the base to prevent any more of these, say 180ft/60yards?

No, should follow the BI teams advice and not automatically ban on something thats known to produce false positives. PT messages should be moderated manually and investigated fully, rather than just assuming that BIATCH has not produced a false positive.

Haha. I remember when BIATCH first came out and I was asking about false positives and threshold bugs and Stealtheye (and a bunch of other people) started flaming me. Silly fl00d3d.

Tsu Guest,

I believe this issue has been fully resolved and even though some people might not like the way it turned it, it is finished and is now pointless to continue any further arguements about this without undeniable proof that would say otherwise.

Yeah that has already been pointed out and is deniable bc computers do glitch at times. What i mean by undeniable proof are ss, vids, eye-witnesses that he was where the computer thought he was. Those are undeniable.

Nope, try harder.
Gaychamp wrote: haha april, you used rgh the whole time, how cute. knew you couldnt get hs. don't press zero by mistake next time you want to buy something
haha renchamp, you sucked the whole time, how pathetic. knew you couldnt get even a lucky hs. don't press shift by mistake next time you want to feel yourself a "pro" player with a life.
Gaychamp wrote:Many people have accused aprilwar of cheating in the past
Yeah, no one has proved anything because i don't cheat.

lol noob, im surprised you never gave up with me. You loved the way i kicked your *ss.
You never could prove anything because:
1) You suck and I don't cheat. OR
2) I don't cheat & you suck.

How do you dare to talk to me like if we were equal, when you joined the cctf server you were a noob.
"Yay we have april on our team"
"omg aprilwar is the ezest player!"
now you became an annoying noob.
I was/am terribly more advanced, years of experience in that game.
Apparently, you haven't evolved.
^
That is truly irrefutable.

The decision wasn't made because i'm appreciated. I doubt that someone cares about if i die or something.
You talk too much, the experts have explained the reasons why this is considered a glitch. You know that lag can even make you appear out of map right? if you didn't know that then don't try to be something that youren't. You don't know nothing. You just want to feel important AGAIN
Someone lock this topic please. I don't like noobs.
There's nothing else to say.

Funnily enough, I was just thinking the same thing. If any of the Renegade admins feel that this topic needs to be continued they are free to unlock it again if they wish to do so.

All of those guest posts were "ecstasy" just being a twat. He's done a lot worse than this topic (posting obscene pictures and blatant topic spamming + ban evasion using proxies).

We have a mod topic on him that you should check out. It's half amusing. We're on top of this, so I'll unlock this topic in hopes he returns with some more proxies for me to ban. It was good that you temp locked this, though - so thanks Dan.

I wouldn't take anything he says about Renegade very seriously. He couldn't handle his job responsibly and was removed, then resorted to cheating. A classic example of how NOT to admin a server. So any moderating or administration advice he provides I would definitely ignore and not take personally. Cheating knowledge, however - he probably knows what he's talking about, since he himself has been caught with RGH numerous times.
