Limpy... well not obvious hacks, but that one week when he ban like 3 or 4 ppl without proofs, but I think they all got unban. lol

^^ Exactly Sean wasent even up to his Own set standards that week. But hell hes the boss he does what he wants right.

We could say that an admin doesn't have to collect proof because their word is enough, and that would still be more fair than most other servers; but as it happens even the admins always gather proof. If it appeared that one of us didn't gather evidence I can assure you that we most certainly did in one form or another, but there was a valid reason why we didn't make it public.

Im alot better than you at this game, and i could spot a cheater a mile off quicker than you... But because your the admin you get to instant ban if felt the need to. But me no chance?

I understand your point and it's valid for most cases, I've spotted some cheaters and I can say every single time I said someone cheated... they did :O and got proven/banned. (sometimes I just suspected but then it turned out to be some lag and I was aware of that was a possiblity, hence why I like to watch the player more than once, to be sure!) Most people nowadays can't tell a good player from a cheater though and that's a bit bad.. but you can't really blame them. Another thing I've noticed is some cheaters simply turn the hacks off after a while, meaning the moderators often don't get proof then they go offline and they turn them back on. (smurf names are very good for this even though if they were a bit smart they'd still pass undetectable, lucky for us they are not... )

I just see so many people acussing innocent people just because they're doing good, that's kinda bad... and then when someone actually cheats it's normal the admins/mods ask for proof because so many people accuse unfairly lots of players.

Come on man, you're going to leave because one person thinks you're not a good mod?? Look at what everyone else has been saying about you, everyone else thinks you're at least a good mod, if not a great one.. quitting like this is the only way you can prove him right.. I know you're busy with your children sometimes, and once in a while you have to take a leave of absense, but don't just quit like this, because of one comment from one person. If everyone left because something bad was said about them, there'd be nobody left here. -_-

Skill has nothing to do with the ability to detect cheats. If you want me to prove my point, I'll load up a bunch of cheats and you and Medici can have a competition to see who can figure out which cheat it is I'm using and see who can come up with the best proof. My admins and mods have pages and pages of training topics, screenshots + videos for examples, and regular meetings with updates on the cheats. They're VERY educated on spotting cheats. Just because you're good at the game doesn't mean you can spot a cheater easier than them. You might be able to have a better sense of who is cheating and who is not, but their knowledge is way more specific. Give them some credit.

Please stop being so dramatic. I made it very clear that I had no problems with you personally, and I made it very clear what the issues were and I stand by them. But you don't have to get all melodramatic and say "joined ... left ... never 2 return". You sound like an attention whore. Take some time off for your family and then come back to reality.

Couldn't agree more with you Sean, for instance, I have a very good sense to tell who's cheating yet I tell some people are innocent when they're not! I just don't find them that good to think they cheat... and I'm not up to date with cheats used in Renegade so your moderators are way better spotting those of course. They deal with it every single day and they're doing a good job.

hmmm ok, so what you've said on TS before you was just talking out you're *ss, i seem to rememeber you saying ive played this game so long, and im a decent player, i can tell if someone is cheating. And i agreed. But on the forums hell no because hes read topics about cheats! he suddenly knows!

Not saying he cant spot a cheat, just saying i would spot it faster.

EG, you joined that game on Hourglass with the RGH'er in game, (medici) You joined on Gemma, Then authed yourself on IRC, (The cheater saw that, and obviously stoped when you was OBVIOUSLY watching him, because your points wasent going up, but you was still typing, and kicking afk players)

Then i left out of frusration because you was being a thick f*ck, joined a sniper server, the cheater followed me and started spectating me, i got proof, And got the fucker banned. Perfect example. goodnight.

Your original point is that since you have more skill in the game, you're more likely to catch cheaters. That is not necessarily true (which was my point).

Your NEW point (in your last post) is that when a mod joins the game they stop cheating. Which I do agree with. That's why we invented the !slogin (which I use every time). And that's also why people like hilary had an argument with joaorp about switching teams and such -- because mods have a very specific way of handling cheat tests and observing people ... whereas normal public players (non-mods) have to hope they can catch it on Fraps.

Anyway, we're going off-topic. This topic was about Sinestro complaining that I said he wasn't worthy of co-admin and he went emo on me. I just wanted Sinestro to calm down and think about the situation from my perspective rather than getting all worked up over it.
