All I can say to you, senor rat, is that follow your heart - listen to these people who've "been there, done that" and learn from their 'mistakes' ~ if you aren't 100% positive that she's the right person for you, hold off, hang out with each other for a year or two, and then make your decision. It may seem like you're destined for each other, but that means nothing until it's actually in the works and it's going 'as planned' (as in fl00dy + vix.). Anyways, I can't be of much more help as I haven't experienced anything that far, but I've helped my friends cope with relationships, so I based off of that. Also: part of being an adult is making decisions on behalf of younger parties. They might not always know what is best for them, so hopefully you make good decisions on both your parts ... and not just selfishly on your behalf.

Actually, I was talking to Ratty last night and it really seems like he loves this girl. Ratty is 19, and she is 17 soon to be eighteen, so it's not really that big of an age difference. Ratty doesn't seem to be a pedophile, meaning his reasons for being in this relationship are not related to s3x.

He's 19 she just turned 16. It's borderline. Once you graduate highschool you really shouldn't be looking at anything under 18. In many states, even consensual contact with a 'minor' can be considered statutory rape if the parents complain. You really gotta be careful. Again, "been there done that" lol. Not worth it.

I'm sorry, but I had a 'bad experience' getting married that young. And with the divorce rates so high these days I don't see why people are rushing into marriage so young. Not worth it. Give the girl some space and enjoy your time together.

I don't know maybe you guys misunderstood me when I said her age. Her birthday isn't until the fall, and I was thinking of proposing in the winter this year after she turned 17, and not marry till she is 18. I hope that cleared that up.

Even though age of consent is 16 here I still agree flood having s3x with someone under 18 is wrong, and i'm not going to put myself in that situation. I don't know why you guys keep thinking I am some sick person lol, I know people who date that are 16 and 23+, now that wrong but considering we are 3 years and 28 days apart, and s3x isn't on my agenda I don't see why we shouldn't be aloud to be together.

I am not trying to take advantage of her flood! I want her to make the decision on her own under the least stressful situation, so I planned to not propose in public, plus giving her 1 year to really think this over. I don't think he is trying to make you look like a bad guy. Being that you always flirt with people you don't know, I can see where he is coming from with his comments. I understand you because I am the same way, except I flirt with random people, and not the same people every day.
